Conclusion

EPF is an important savings tool for a large number of people working in public and private organisations in India. The conventional method of doing an EPF balance check was not very convenient. A lot of paperwork had to be done, and this was very time-consuming. There were several cases where the PF amount was deducted from the employee’s account but did not reach their PF fund. Employers did not deposit the amount with the government or EPFo, but this was not easily trackable. Luckily, with the launch of mobile apps, the scenario is changed now. The EPF account holders can now easily check their balance amount on their mobile phones.
